The former Wendy's location on Ga. 120 in Lawrenceville has been empty for quite a while — but it appears a new restaurant will fill the void soon.

A sign spotted Monday outside the old fast food spot at 676 Ga. 120 — next to Chick-fil-A, near the entrance to Gwinnett Medical Center — suggests that Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery and Grill is "coming soon."

The bakery has more than 120 locations in nine states, including one in Snellville and eight others across the metro Atlanta area, according to its website. Its offerings include jerk chicken, jerk fish and, for the more adventurous eaters, goat and oxtail.

A time frame for the restaurant's presumed opening in the former Wendy's location was not immediately clear.
