Seems like there's a new ranking of Georgia's safest cities just about every week -- websites with strange names taking a swing at compiling crime data and pumping them in hopes of getting some publicity.
Add the fine folks at CreditDonkey to the list (of lists).
The company -- which builds itself as a "home security comparison website" -- has released its own ranking of the 50 safest cities in Georgia. According to the site, it used the FBI's 2014 Uniform Crime Report Data to analyze violent crimes (murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault) and property crimes (burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, arson) in every Georgia city with a population of 2,500 or more. It then broke it down to violent crimes and property crimes per 1,000 residents.
Summerville (of Chattooga County) and Senoia (of "The Walking Dead" fame) took the top two spots. The highest ranking metro-area cities were north Fulton's Johns Creek (No. 3) and Milton (No. 5).
The rest of the results, as they say, speak for themselves.
