Suwanee thief stole Christmas presents

Suwanee police are investigating a Grinch who stole a family's presents from their vehicle two days before Christmas.

A resident in the Avonlea Crossing neighborhood called police Dec. 23 to report that someone had broken into his 2005 Mercury Mountaineer, which was parked in the driveway unlocked overnight. The thief helped himself to an assortment of presents stashed in the cargo area, according to a Suwanee police report. The gifts included a 32″ LCD television, a Playstation 3 video game, a football, a woman's evening coat, a snakeskin purse, some costume jewelry, an electronic travel coffee mug, a neck massager and a pair of Nike basketball shoes.

The victim told police he was awake until midnight and heard nothing stirring.
