Citizens interested in running for elected office to succeed Suwanee Mayor James M. Burnette, Jr. Council Member Post 1 Doug Ireland, or Council Member Post 2 Dick Goodman may qualify between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 19 through Aug. 21 at City Hall, 330 Town Center Avenue. In addition to completing qualifying forms, individuals intending to run for office will be required to pay a qualification fee of $450 for mayor and $270 for council member.

Voting for this city election will take place 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 5 “at the regular places for holding elections in the City of Suwanee.”

Registration to vote in this election ends at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 7.

Citizens interested in working the polls can earn $13 an hour during early/absentee voting, and $100 on Election Day. The Election Day poll manager will earn $225 and assistant poll manager $140.
