Suwanee selects contractor for phase two of White Street Park

The Suwanee City Council voted Tuesday to award the contract for phase two construction of White Street Park to Willow Construction Inc.

The $172,552 contract includes construction of a public park between Buford Highway and White St. and covers grading, drainage, fence installation and irrigation system installation. The contract also includes wood timber placement, playground slide, trail installation and sod establishment.

White Street Park is already home to Suwanee’s Harvest Farm, an organic community garden at 752 White St. The park features a butterfly garden, 2,500-gallon cistern, barn that may be reserved and rented, a natural amphitheater, loop trail and fire pit.
