The Suwanee City Council recently approved a zoning request that will allow for construction of a senior living facility at the intersection of Suwanee Dam Road and Brogdon Road. Caddis Acquisition Partners’ plans include 80 independent living units and 73,162 square feet of institutional space with 59 assisted living rooms and 32 memory care beds on the 10-acre lot. The project will be housed in one 178,000-square foot, four-sided brick building with each type of housing having its own wing of the building.
The project is located directly across the street from the planned extension of Town Center Park and the height of the proposed building would allow visibility of the park. The city’s 2030 Comprehensive Plan identified the need for senior housing. Approval comes with conditions related to number of units, architectural, landscaping and parking guidelines.
