Suwanee approves vehicle charging station

The Suwanee City Council approved a contract Tuesday to allow for installation of an electric vehicle charging station near the back corner of City Hall, 330 Town Center Avenue on Savannah Square Street. Two parking spaces will be marked for the vehicle charging station. The $47,424 contract was awarded to EnviroSpark Energy Solutions, Inc. of Atlanta.

Georgia Power launched a program late last year offering a $500 rebate to businesses that install chargers for electric vehicles.
