An additional — and far more serious — charge has been filed against the man accused of flashing women across one Gwinnett city.

James Antonio Brown was arrested Monday, several weeks after Suwanee police say female joggers started reporting seeing him exposing himself in his car. He was originally charged with six counts of public indecency, a misdemeanor.

On Wednesday, however, Gwinnett County jail records reflected a new charge — child molestation.

"One of the victims was with her small child when [Brown] exposed himself," Suwanee police Capt. Cass Mooney said. "That’s the origin of the child molestation [charge]."

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported last week that the man now identified as Brown had been spotted around Suwanee at least six times, with the first several calls involving female runners seeing him masturbating in his car with the door open. In the latest pair of incidents, however, the suspect actually left his vehicle and approached the victims, police said.

Authorities released last week a description of two vehicles the man had been seen in, and a resident called them Monday afternoon after spotting one of them. Brown was reportedly inside and taken to the Suwanee Police Department for an interview.

"We did not observe the suspect committing the act," Mooney said.

Jail records list Brown as a resident of North Charleston, South Carolina. It's unclear why he was in the Suwanee area.

As of Wednesday afternoon, he remained at the Gwinnett County jail without bond.
