Budding filmmakers in Fayette County are invited to submit their creative works to the public school system’s first youth film festival.

CineFayette is open to groups of students in grades 6-12 to showcase their stories to industry professionals and the community. Each school may submit up to six entries, which must be between one and five minutes long, for independent judging. The submission deadline is March 16 through each school’s AVTF teacher, and a film festival showing all qualified entries will be held on April 2 at Dogwood Church in Tyrone.

Awards will be given in the categories of Best Overall Short Film, Top Category Entry, Best On-Screen Talent/Actor, Best Cinematographer, Best Editing and Fan Favorite. Rules regarding the films’ content, crediting, music and technical requirements are at https://filmfreeway.com/CineFayette.
