Students were returning to class Thursday morning at a Gwinnett County middle school evacuated because of a bomb threat.

The threat was called in to Grace Snell Middle School on Brushy Fork Road near Loganville shortly before 9 a.m.

"All students are safe and nothing has occurred at the school," Gwinnett schools spokeswoman Sloan Roach told the AJC.

"The school has evacuated just as a precaution," Roach said. "Emergency personnel have responded and will check out the building prior to returning students to class."

Roach said arriving buses were being held at nearby Magill Elementary School.

The all-clear was sounded about 10 a.m., and students were returning to class, school officials said.
