Local and state authorities announced street and lane closures in Roswell and Johns Creek for various construction projects in the coming days.
In Roswell, Canton Street will be closed to through traffic from Magnolia to Norcross streets from 7 to 11 a.m. Wednesday as city water crews install a new water meter at 980 Canton. Access to Canton will be available from Webb and Norcross streets, the city said.
Separately, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced overnight closures of single lanes on Holcomb Bridge Road (Ga. 140) in Roswell and Medlock Bridge Road (Ga. 141) in Johns Creek.
On Holcomb Bridge, crews will be putting in ADA-compliant crosswalks and milling and resurfacing the travel lanes from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly through Thursday, GDOT said. On Medlock Bridge, crews will be installing traffic signal loops in the northbound and southbound lanes from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly through Thursday; also, permanent striping is likely to begin Wednesday night.
All work is “weather permitting” and subject to change, GDOT said.
