The DeKalb County Commission recently agreed to allow its newest community improvement district to expand its borders.
The Stone Mountain CID has added more commercial properties along Lawrenceville Highway to the Gwinnett County line, where more businesses have agreed to self-tax to fund operations such as roadway improvements and landscaping. The goal is to add 2,000 new jobs to the area by the end of 2013.
