Stockbridge mother, 22, hits $400K scratch-off jackpot

June 1, 2015

After their big win on a Georgia Lottery scratch-off ticket, Estefania and Eduardo Rodriguez plan to pay off bills — and throw their daughter what’s sure to be one heck of a birthday party.

Georgia Lottery officials said Estefania Rodriguez, a 22-year-old Stockbridge resident, recently won the $400,000 top prize on the “20X The Money” game. She purchased her ticket at the Shell Travel Plaza on Cowan Road in Acworth.

“It’s a dream come true,” she told lottery officials. “I couldn’t believe it. We cried. This will change our lives completely.”

The Rodriguezes told officials they would use their winnings to pay off bills and throw a birthday for their 3-year-old daughter.
