Stockbridge mayor calls out council, endorses challengers
Stockbridge Mayor Tim Thompson issued a letter Oct. 13 criticizing the current city council for recent actions he said would “replace our current form of government with one that best suits their individual interest.”
He also asked voters to “help me move Stockbridge in a positive direction by replacing all three incumbents.”
Thompson endorsed Jack Cowart, Neat Robinson and John Blount for the three seats on the fall ballot.
Alphonso Thomas and Regina Lewis Ward are running for re-election while Robin Buschman is not seeking another term. Elton Alexander, Bruce Smith and Tony Brown are also on the at-large ballot.
Thompson posted the statement on his Facebook page.
