DeKalb County police and fire officials Monday were investigating a stabbing and house fire at a home in Ellenwood.

The fire was reported around 12:30 a.m. Monday at a house on Ambrose Court. Arriving firefighters found flames coming from the attic and second floor of the two-story house.

A man was found inside the house, suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.

A 17-year-old who allegedly stabbed his stepfather was taken into custody. Dontavious Woodward was booked into the DeKalb County Jail, charged with aggravated assault and first degree arson.
