Smyrna will hold a Jan. 9 diversity meeting

Smyrna officials will hold a town hall meeting about the newly reformed Smyrna United Task Force on diversity and inclusivity from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Magnolia Room, Smyrna Community Center, 200 Village Green Circle SE, Smyrna.
The mission, goals and priorities of this task force will be presented first, and then questions and feedback will be accepted from the community.
This effort is a part of the implementation of the city’s Strategic Vision Plan.
City officials are seeking a representative group of residents to participate on the task force.
Each of the seven City Council members will appoint two Smyrna residents to serve.
