Sirens to blare Wednesday across Cobb, which is supposed to happen

If you wanted peace and quiet while practicing your pumpkin carving Wednesday at noon, sorry.

That's when Cobb County emergency officials will be testing all 70 outdoor warning sirens scattered throughout the county, according to its Facebook page.

Of those, 10 will blare voice messages. The auditory assault will last between three and five minutes.

This is all dependent on the weather, according to the post. If the weather is bad enough, the test will happen Thursday.
