More than 5,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled into DeKalb County waterways late last week.
County water reports shows 5,720 gallons of sewage spilled into Nancy Creek from the 4100 block of Woodwin Court in Doraville.
In December, the federal Environmental Protection Agency mandated the county upgrade its sewage system after more than 800 spills were reported in five years.
