Police recently ran a sting on several Cobb County businesses to see which would sell alcohol to a minor.

Cobb police sent an underage volunteer to 10 locations in Marietta and Smyrna on Thursday, according to a news release from the department.

Three of those 10 did sell alcohol to the minor: Quick Pick at 1242 Atlanta Road in Marietta, along with Royal Package and Three Star Food Mart both at 1860 Atlanta Road in Smyrna.

The following businesses passed the check and did not sell to the juvenile:

The department ran these checks at Cumberland Mall businesses in September and in the Acworth and Mableton areas during late August last year.
