UPDATE [Wednesday, 5 a.m.]: Byron Grogan returned home safe about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to Forsyth County sheriff's deputies. Deputies are now interviewing Grogan to determine "the circumstances surrounding his disappearance."

ORIGINAL STORY: Authorities are combing a Forsyth County park for a 19-year-old man missing since he went for a run Monday night.

Byron Grogan left for a run at Chattahoochee Pointe Park around 9 p.m, his family told Forsyth County deputies. He was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt, red shorts and running shoes.

His car was found abandoned near the Chattahoochee River, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The Forsyth sheriff’s office and fire department are leading the search at the park Tuesday, with help from the U.S. Park Service and the Johns Creek and Gwinnett County fire departments. The Georgia State Patrol is assisting in the search from the air.

Grogan is 6 feet tall, weighs 175 pounds and has brown hair.

Police said they responded to a call of shots fired at a Duluth apartment complex just before 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
