Schapiro named interim dean at Emory law school

Robert Schapiro on Friday will become interim dean of the Emory University School of Law, the school said this week.

Schapiro, who obtained his law degree from Yale University and has been a member of the Emory faculty since 1995, teaches courses in constitutional law, federal courts, civil procedure and legislation. He has been serving as Emory's associate vice provost for academic affairs. "Robert brings to the role superb academic and legal credentials as well as strong administrative experience," Emory Provost Earl Lewis said in a statement.
