The route map for Fayetteville’s Jan. 20 Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Parade has been posted on the city’s Facebook page.

The annual parade will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 1 p.m., starting at Fayette County High School on Tiger Trail and proceeding north to Hood Avenue before turning east to Hwy. 85 South and then culminating on W. Lanier Avenue and back to Tiger Trail. The free commemorative program will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Sams Auditorium, 205 LaFayette Drive, and end at 12:30 p.m. Regular traffic patterns will be restricted while the parade is in progress, so the city is urging drivers to find alternate routes ahead of time.

The program is sponsored by the Fayette County branch of the NAACP in conjunction with Fayette County Public Schools and other local organizations and businesses.
