Road near Stone Mountain remains closed for project

A main road near Stone Mountain that was closed earlier this summer will remain shut down for another month due to a sewer project.

Crews began digging to replace the sewer main that runs under South Stone Mountain-Lithonia Road in DeKalb County in June.

The segment between Marbut and Chapman roads was slated to be shut down until Aug. 5 but that closure has been extended to Sept. 3.
