Georgia Department of Transportation construction contractors will begin resurfacing Atlanta’s expressway to Athens, State Route 316 this month. Overnight single lane closures will be required for resurfacing work to take place 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Oct. 1 on S.R. 316/Epps Bridge Parkway between Virgil Lankford Road to the Oconee Connector.
Crews will continue work every night of the week including Saturday and Sunday nights, weather permitting. Work will be suspended on Saturday nights during and after University of Georgia home football games. Drivers are encouraged to drive alert.
