Following the shooting deaths last week of two black men in Louisiana and Minnesota by police, hundreds gathered Tuesday at a metro Atlanta megachurch to discuss race relations, police reform and other topics.

Nationally syndicated radio host Rickey Smiley moderated the "Strategy for Change" town hall meeting at the House of Hope Atlanta in Decatur.

The town hall, which followed five nights of protests in Atlanta, attracted entertainers 2 Chainz, Tyrese, Young Jeezy, Lyfe Jennings and David Banner, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Panelists encouraged people to vote in local and national elections, open more black-owned businesses and advocate for harsher disciplinary practices for officers who behave badly, the television station reported.

“We have got to find a way to get on one accord in our approach,” said Bernice King, daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. and one of the panelists.

The meeting failed to result in what organizers hoped would be a clear action plan, according to Channel 2.
