Recycling effort comes up big

Forsyth County’s Christmas tree recycling effort surpassed the expectations of organizers. Keep Forsyth County Beautiful collected and recycled 8,710 trees. Forsyth County residents have now recycled more than 78,000 trees since the county first began participating in the “Bring One for the Chipper” event in 1994.

Davey Tree Company, Sawnee EMC and the Forsyth County Road and Bridge Department worked with volunteers for this year's event.
