A Buckhead woman has pleaded guilty to stealing from her school’s PTA, and she’ll spend the next 90 days in jail.
The Fulton County district attorney’s office on Friday announced the guilty plea of 48-year-old Maryam Arjomand, the former president of the E. Rivers Elementary School Parent Teacher Association who was accused of stealing at least $80,000.
Judge Karen Woodson gave Arjomand a 10-year sentence, with 90 days in jail and the rest on probation.
A plea agreement requires her to perform 200 hours of community service and write an apology letter to her victims.
She has already repaid the missing money.
