Presidential debate watch parties happening across metro Atlanta

Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will square off Monday evening in the first of three official debates scheduled this fall.

With that, there are a many debate watch parties happening across the metro Atlanta area, regardless of which side of the aisle you sit.

Also not a bad way to catch the Falcons-Saints game if you're torn between some dueling on the gridiron or political theater.

Intown

Gathering Spot, M Bar, 186 Auburn Ave.

Need to know: Party will be hosted by Tharon Johnson of Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Gathering Spot, 384 Northyards Blvd. NW
Need to know: Mayor Kasim Reed will host the debate watch party.

Manuel's Tavern, 602 N. Highland Ave. NE
Need to know: The debate will be broadcasted on every TV and played through the speakers. Get there early to secure a good seat.
Cost: Free, but guests are encouraged to eat and drink.

Georgia State University, Urban Life building, 140 Decatur Street, #220 
Need to know: The Multicultural Center will host debate watch parties and voter registration drives.
Cost: Free

Need to know: The event is a joint watch party for the Falcons-Saints Game and the first Presidential debate of the season.

Need to know: There will be a pre-debate panel discussion.
Cost: $25 or $50 donation.

Cobb GOP Headquarters, 799 Roswell St., Marietta
Start time is 8:30 p.m. 12 people can get in for free by making calls for the party from 7–8 p.m. 
Cost: The event is a potluck and $5 admission (cash or check only). Potluck ticket includes two beer/wine tickets.

Need to know: The debate watch party doubles as the headquarter's grand opening. Event starts at 8 p.m.

Need to know: Event hosted by the Atlanta Young Republicans. Starts at 8 p.m. Circle R, Chairman's Council and Platinum members receive complimentary drink tickets.
