Monday afternoon traffic in Atlanta got a little scarier than usual on Halloween.

Roads are clear now, but drivers along Ga. 400 and I-285  were brought to a halt earlier.

A brush fire closed parts of the Ga. 400 northbound ramp at Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell. The fire was later put out and lanes reopened.

Earlier in Clayton County, a broken down car sat in the center lane of I-285 Westbound at Riverdale Road and caused delays to reach I-75.

Delays were also reported on I-85 near Chamblee-Tucker Road following a crash earlier in the day.

Traffic along the Downtown Connector was at a stand still with the after work commute.

Rush hour to started about 3 p.m. and slowly die down about 6 p.m. as trick-or-treaters begin making theirs, The Georgia Department of Transportation said.

Sunset in Atlanta was at 6:46 p.m. today.

GDOT is asking drivers to be especially aware of every ghost and goblin walking the streets. Spokesman Drew Belk said pedestrian levels through the state will be high Monday night.

The department is also warning drivers not to drive under the influence and pay attention at all crosswalks.
