The Powder Springs City Council is planning to hold public hearings at 7 p.m. Monday in the Council Chambers, Community Development building, 4488 Pineview Drive.

Both applications have been initiated by the city.

For the Garden Gate Subdivision, city staff are recommending changing the zoning conditions for a gated entrance, amenities and the homeowners association, according to the legal ad.

Now under construction, the subdivision is south of Richard D. Sailors Parkway, east of Silver Springs Way SW and northwest of Flowering Branch SW.

The other city application would change the zoning conditions for a mixed-use development, removing the requirement for a roundabout west of C.H. James Parkway and east of Florence Road.

Anyone who desires to speak at a public hearing is required to disclose campaign contributions to the Community Development Department five days before the hearing.
