Police in Gwinnett shoot burglary suspect
A Gwinnett County police officer shot a burglary suspect near Norcross Monday morning.
Police said the suspect was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center for a gunshot wound. The suspect, who was not identified, was expected to survive, said Cpl. Edwin Ritter of the Gwinnett County Police Department.
The shooting occurred in the 5500 block of Weatherford Road, which is a residential area in unincorporated Norcross off Harbins Road.
