A 2-year-old girl was found unharmed Monday morning an hour after someone stole the car she was sitting in, DeKalb County police said.
The theft occurred at 9:40 a.m., according to police spokesman Maj. Stephen Fore.
The white 2002 Nissan Altima with no license plate was stolen from a Shell gas station located at 3639 Flat Shoals Road. The toddler was in the backseat, Fore said.
Police found the car less than four miles away, abandoned in the parking lot of Wayfield Foods at 2532 Bouldercrest Road. The 2-year-old girl was safe inside the vehicle, police said.
No further information was immediately available.
