Five people were arrested in Gwinnett County on Tuesday for allegedly operating illegal gambling operations, including one that a witness said had customers arriving by limousine.

Police searched two residences, seizing gambling machines and an undisclosed amount of cash, said Cpl. Jake Smith, Gwinnett County police spokesman. “They were doing cash payouts and selling drinks,” Smith said.

Police shut down both operations, Smith said. The investigation is continuing.

Cindy Murray, who lives near one of the alleged gambling locations, on Michael Court in Duluth,  told Channel 2 Action News that limousines and cars often lined the street outside the home.

"My son went over and said, ‘Look, do y'all have a business over here, because you know it's illegal,'" Murray said. "All day it was just older ladies, all day long."

Chung Han and Sung Choi, both of Duluth, were booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center on multiple gambling charges and were assigned bonds of $15,900 apiece. Han was released Tuesday, and Choi remained in custody Thursday, according to jail records.

Shirly Kim, of Atlanta; Young Han, of Suwanee, and Mi Huh, of Duluth, were also booked on commercial gambling charges. Each was assigned a $5,700 bond and remained in custody in the Gwinnett jail Thursday.
