A.D. "Pete" and Ada Lee Correll will receive the Paschal Murray Award for Outstanding Philanthropist from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
The award, sponsored by Paschal Murray Inc., a national executive search firm, is scheduled be presented to the Corrells at the Awards for Philanthropy Banquet in Baltimore, Md.
The Corrells were nominated by Emory University and the AFP Greater Atlanta Chapter. The couple have donated millions of dollars to a variety of charitable causes in metro Atlanta and throughout Georgia, including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, the United Negro College Fund and the Georgia Aquarium.
Pete Correll is former head of Georgia-Pacific. He is currently chairman of Atlanta Equity Investors LLC L and chairman emeritus of Georgia-Pacific Corp. He is also chairman of the Grady Memorial Hospital Corp.
Ada Lee Correll is chairwoman of Emory University's School of Medicine $500 million campaign.
