A pedestrian was seriously injured early Friday after being hit by a truck in Marietta, police said.
Marietta police said a Yellow Freight tractor trailer, driven by Morris Gordon of Atlanta, was traveling northbound on Powder Springs Street near Club Drive around 3:30 a.m. and struck a pedestrian who was in the road outside of a crosswalk.
The pedestrian was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, where he was listed in critical condition. The driver of the truck was not injured. The name of the pedestrian is being with withheld pending notification of family.
