Peachtree City held another FY2018 budget workshop on July 11, during which City Manager Jon Rorie and other staff outlined approximately $34 million in projected revenue and expenses.

The budget represents a 4 percent increase in revenue and 3 percent increase in appropriations, plus a .25 mil reduction in property taxes. The plan includes a 2 percent cost-of-living raise for all employees (the first since 2014) and 1.5 percent merit increases for selected “top performers.” The city is increasing road paving and other infrastructure repairs, and plans to build another fire station on the west side by 2021.

The next budget hearing will be at the City Council meeting at 7 p.m. July 20 at City Hall.
