Peachtree City Police may have cracked a case involving several armed robberies, including a recent late-night holdup at a Target department store.

Police have arrested four men ages 18 to 22 and are looking for a fifth suspect, authorities said Thursday. Two of the suspects are from Peachtree City.

In the Target holdup on Aug. 30, two suspects, dressed in black, are seen in surveillance video sneaking up to the front of the store around 10 p.m. in a crouched position before dashing through the entrance.

As they enter the store in the Kedron Village on North Peachtree Parkway, they encounter a female customer just inside the door, and one of the suspects pulls a gun and motions to her to get to the floor.

The video then shows the suspects approaching a cash register and, with a gun trained on employees and a customer, hands the worker at the cash register a dark bag for the money that is demanded.

The robbers spent less than a minute in the store before fleeing on foot.

In addition to the Target incident, the arrests made this week also include suspects accused of robbing a Pit Stop convenience store at 100 Petrol Point in Peachtree City on Sept. 12.

“During the investigation it was discovered that the Peachtree City armed robberies were linked to an armed robbery that occurred at the Sonic Drive-In in Tyrone, Ga.,” police said in a statement. The Sonic robbery occurred on the same day as the Pit Stop holdup, police said.

Police Capt. Rosanna Dove would release little additional information about the robberies. She said they didn't appear to be gang-related at this point in the investigation.

The arrests include Jeramie Ruiz, 18, of Peachtree City; Kyle Cornell, 22, of Peachtree City; Demetrious Tucker, 22, of Union City; and Jimmy Nash, 20, of Riverdale. Police are still looking for Bradford J. Gibbs Jr., 20, of Newnan.

Charges include felony armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and obstruction.

Police said persons with information on the crimes can call a crime and narcotics information hotline at 770-487-6010 or 770-631-2510.
