A section of Paces Ferry Road in Vinings will be closed from 10 a.m. to around 6 p.m. Sunday while Georgia Power relocates several utility poles around the Cobb County Vinings fire station.

A quick detour around the work area is New Paces Ferry Road.

Residents and businesses affected by this temporary power outage have been notified, according to a Cobb County news release.

Due to the large number of utility trucks on the roadway, Georgia Power is asking residents to park across Paces Ferry Road during Sunday’s closure.

That will allow residents better driveway exit access and prevent delays since the parked utility trucks cannot be moved while performing work.

Flaggers will assist residents across the work zone to their vehicles parked across the street to ensure their safety.
