"Online grocery pickup" is being added to two more metro Atlanta Wal-Mart stores.
The service — which allows shoppers to order groceries online and pick them up curbside without actually setting foot inside the store — is already available at 11 stores around Atlanta, including locations in north Fulton, Cobb, Clayton, Paulding, Henry and Gwinnett counties. Come July 12, two more online pickup locations will be added in Gwinnett, with Suwanee (3245 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road) and Stone Mountain (1825 Rockbridge Road) stores joining the roster.
"Our customers have told us that grocery pickup is a game changer," Glen Wilkins, Wal-Mart's director of public affairs and government relations in Georgia, said in an emailed statement. "They are now able to complete their grocery shopping in a matter of minutes — between errands or on their way home from an after school activity — without even unbuckling their seat belts."
