Update | March 9, 2018: After initially failing a health inspection, the Eat Fresh Food Court in Sandy Springs was re-inspected on March 8 and had zero flaws.

An inspector gave the food court a score of 100/A and made note of zero violations during the inspection, which lasted an hour and five minutes.

Original story | Feb. 28, 2018: A food court in north Fulton County failed a health inspection last week, earning a score of 59/U.

The Eat Fresh Food Court at 1000 Abernathy Road in Sandy Springs was inspected by the Georgia Department of Public Health on Feb. 21 and cited for nine violations.

An inspector noted that employees washed their hands without soap and saw no soap at handwashing sinks throughout the facility.

The food court was also cited for improper storage of raw chicken and eggs, mold in the ice machine, cold food not stored at 41 degrees or lower and hot food not stored at 135 degrees or higher. The inspector also noted that a container of chili was left out for more than two hours.

The food court was also cited for unsatisfactory managerial control. A re-inspection date is set for March 7.

Eat Fresh received grades of 92/A or higher in its 2016 and 2017 inspections.

No one answered the phone at the food court when reached by the AJC on Wednesday. A message was not immediately returned.

According to its Facebook page, the food court serves breakfast and lunch and also caters.
