Patching activity will give rise to overnight lane closures on Holcomb Bridge Road (Ga. 140) in Roswell this weekend, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced.

Weather permitting, single lane closures will take place Friday and Sunday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings, between Mansell Road and the Gwinnett County line, according to the announcement. Roadside signs and message boards will alert drivers to the closures.

“Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes to their destinations and/or allow extra travel time for traffic delays,” GDOT said.

The work is part of an ongoing milling, inlay and resurfacing project for about 6.7 miles of Holcomb Bridge from just east of Alpharetta Highway (Ga. 9) to the county line, GDOT said. Work is scheduled to be completed in late February, 2020.
