A Kroger grocery store will open Thursday in Sugar Hill, bringing more than 150 jobs to the area.

The new 93,000-square-foot store at 6001 Ga. 20 will feature a variety of services, including a Starbucks, drive-through pharmacy, floral department and expanded deli.

To mark the opening of the new store, Kroger has four days of celebrations planned. The festivities begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday.

The Lanier High School drum ensemble will perform and Freddie, an Atlanta Falcon’s mascot, also will make an appearance. Other family friendly activities include an ice-cream social, an appearance from Kroger mascots Kay and Roger, and a clown balloon artist.
