Pollo Tropical closed all of its metro Atlanta locations in January 2019, including the Snellville restaurant. The space has stood empty for more than a year, but will now be filled with the smell of glazed doughnuts and coffee drinks.

There is no set open date for the new Krispy Kreme, but the city said it’s possible for them to start slinging doughnuts within six to eight weeks. The restaurant is located at 1635 Scenic Hwy S.

Channel 2's Tom Jones asked law enforcement officers if they were with the FBI as they walked out of Sheriff Victor Hill?s office.
