There are three special homestead exemptions available for seniors to save money on their property tax bill in Gwinnett. The Senior State Tax Exemption provides a 100 percent exemption from taxes levied by the state of Georgia on your home and up to 10 acres of property. This exemption is unique because it is granted in addition to any other senior exemptions.
The Senior School Tax Exemption provides a 100 percent exemption from taxes levied by the Gwinnett County Board of Education on your home and up to one acre of property. The Regular School Tax Exemption provides a partial exemption from school taxes.
