Moonshine whiskey, marijuana, handguns and other items were seized and two men were arrested in a bust following an undercover drug purchase in Hall County, authorities said.

Stacy Jerome McIntosh of Gainesville and Alan Shawn Jenkins of Cleveland, Ga., were arrested Friday by members of the Multi Agency Narcotics Squad and Hall County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Acting on warrants charging McIntosh with selling marijuana and Hydrocodone to an undercover agent Feb. 24, officers executed a search warrant Friday at McIntosh’s home on the 5800 block of Lancer Court in northwest Hall County, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The two suspects were arrested without incident and booked into Hall County Jail.

Hall County Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Ware, in charge of the Narcotics Squad, told the AJC in a phone interview that moonshine was found in “several glass jugs, each containing approximately one gallon.”

“I have no indication they made it themselves,” Ware said. It was not known if the suspects intended to resell the liquor or had it for personal consumption.

In addition to the illicit hooch, agents seized about a quarter-pound of marijuana, three handguns, digital scales and $9,648 cash, the Sheriff's Office said.

The two men each have been charged with possession of non-taxed liquor as well as felony possession of marijuana.

The 45-year-old McIntosh also was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, while the 44-year-old Jenkins was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Jenkins was released on bond Monday morning, Ware said. Hall County Sheriff’s records indicated McIntosh was still in custody Monday afternoon.
