A Cobb County mom allegedly abandoned her preschooler at a Motel 6, police said.
The boy was found after a couple posted on social media asking for financial help to care for the child, according to the police report.
The couple couldn’t find the boy’s mother after looking for more than 24 hours.
Police conducted a welfare check on May 15 and found the boy alone in a hotel room without food or personal belongings.
He had been in the same outfit for a week, the report said.
The Department of Family and Children Services took custody of the child and a warrant was issued for the mother’s arrest.
The accused mom, Meagan Elizabeth Allen, of, Smyrna, was still missing as of Tuesday.
