A 24-year-old Alpharetta woman reported missing by her family last week  has been found safe, police said.

Gina Blackwell told Channel 2 Action News that her daughter, Andrea Blackwell, who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, hadn't been heard from since April 1, when she sent a text to her father telling him that she had checked herself into Northside Hospital after having a panic attack.

Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon said Monday that Andrea Blackwell had been found safe in metro Atlanta, and that no foul play had taken place.
