On the first of December, Milton will turn 10 years old.

To celebrate, residents are invited to join state and local officials and Milton staff at the Broadwell Pavilion on Dec. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Food and beverages will be provided by sponsor Northside Hospital.

The establishment of Milton as a city was "born out of a desire for more local responsibility," according to the city's website.

According to the United States Census Bureau, 37,547 people lived in Milton as of July 2015.

Last month, nearby Johns Creek also celebrated turning a decade.
