We’re just emerging from the winter holidays, but Milton is gearing up for spring by approving agreements between its Parks and Recreation Department and youth sports and music programs.

The City Council recently approved Hopewell Youth Association offering baseball leagues and camps at Bell Memorial Park; Agape Academy LLC, running tennis camps, leagues and clinics at Fulton County School District tennis courts; and Eagle Stix Rec Inc., providing youth girls Lacrosse leagues and camps at Bell Park and Fulton school athletic fields

Agreements also were approved with Halftime Sports LLC for youth basketball leagues, camps and clinics at Fulton school gymnasiums; New Found Life Football League for youth football leagues and camps at Bell Park; North Georgia Recreation Inc. for youth boys Lacrosse leagues and camps at Bell Park and Fulton school fields; and Sperber Music, for music camps and classes at Bell Park and the Bethwell Community Center.

The agreements have a 15 percent commission on registrations to the city.

The Council also approved having Wanna Play Baseball Inc. run the concession stand at Bell Park. The company will offer hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, barbecue and other foods as well as Coca-Cola beverages, but no seeds of any kind nor alcohol. Three percent of gross revenues will go to the city, according to the contract.
