Midtown planning for "urban eco-district"

The Midtown Alliance, a self-taxing business group, is holding a public meeting Thursday to kick off four months of planning for the area, centered around sustainability. The group intends to create an action plan, called "Greenprint Midtown," for energy, water, transportation, community green space, recycling and reducing waste.

The meeting is scheduled Thursday, March 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 999 Peachtree St. NE, 5th Floor Conference Center.
